William (Kross) Greiner (born September 8, 1957) in New Orleans, Louisiana is an American photographer and painter, now living in Fort Worth, TX.
Greiner began his career as a sports photographer, first working in the National Football League (NFL), at the age of 19, from 1977-1979. He also covered the 1981 and 1982 Tour de France for Bicycling magazine, The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. Greiner abandoned sports journalism to return to college, earning an A.A. from Bradford College, a B.F.A. from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Art and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University. During this period, Greiner was introduced to the work of musician/artist/photographer, William Eggleston.
